I have to say that I have been really impressed with both Acer as a company (of late) and this little PC in particular. I was a little skeptical when reading some of the other reviews about whethe ror not this would be a really good computer to set up for the purpose of watching Netflix and Hulu on my TV. Some of the people speaking seemed to have a good deal of technical expertise. While there is some assurance there in the form of not reading a review written by someone uneducated and unable to express themselves well, when it comes to computers, I didn't want to feel like I was going to really have to work for this machine to do what I wanted it to do.

Pros: The dual core 64 bit Intel Atom and Nvidia ION combination is able to play high definition media sources with digital audio. The form factor is extremely compact and quiet. The bundled wireless keyboard and mouse work at 10 feet away.

Cons: Internal HDD and included RAM are a little scant at 160GB and 2GB respectively. External storage is needed if you wish to have a large media collection. The extra $100 needed to buy a 1TB USB HDD for storage puts this near the $430 mark - close to a point where you might build your own higher performance system (without OS).

I took the plunge. I'm a terrible internet impulse buyer, what can I say. I am happy to inform you all that with very little real effort I was able to get this running nicely on my 42" LCD TV. All I did was download Google Chrome (my web browser of choice, particularly on my less powerful systems as it doesn't seem to run as "heavy" as IE or FF), I downloaded Flash 10 Beta (as suggested), and uninstalled a couple of obviously non-essential programs off of it (like Acer Game Center or some such). It runs everything just fine. I haven't noticed any problems that I can link back to this computer's performance. It is sleak and attractive and has a very small footprint. I would recommend this to anyone to hook up to their TV for this purpose. It really does take very little effort to get this set up and, considering the price, its hard to say there's a better option out there.
